Step-by-Step to help start your Eagle Project Process

1. Pick Someone to be your Eagle Project Coach. This can be anyone, even

someone outside  the Troop. (If your advisor is from outside the Troop,

have him/her contact the Troop leaders to coordinate your efforts)

It would be good if he/she has Eagle coaching experience. Discuss

your wishes with the coach and start looking for ideas for a project. At

every step of the process, you should discuss changes, additions and

needs with your advisor. Only after you and your coach are satisfied

with the project idea, you may bring the proposal for review by the

        Troop Eagle Advisors.

2. Get approval by Troop Eagle Advisors.

        Then.......
         3. Get approval of your Scoutmaster

4. Get approval by Troop Committee ( your proposal must have a troop

                                                    committee signature)

5. Get approval by the Sagtikos District Advancement/Eagle Committee

Contact the District Advancement Chairman to arrange for a review by a

District Advancement representative. When the Representative signs

off on the project, you may begin the actual project .

The above steps MUST BE FOLLOWED to ensure that your project is on the right track. Failure to get the steps done could result in delays starting the project or even rejection of the project!
